2 Day Essential Leadership Conversations
This 2 day Essential Leadership Conversations training is the foundation of all Communication Group's Relational Leadership Programs. A combination of 30+ years of Communication and Leadership experience, it incorporates the skills of Nonviolent Communication (NVC) and more, applied for Leaders, Changemakers, and Teams.
No matter your level of communication or NVC experience, this training is the perfect place to start - in fact, the more experience you have the more you will learn! It is the perfect combination of structured learning, direct physical experience, then skills are embodied with applied practice using your real life scenareos.
This training will enrich and empower every relationship in your life, including with your family and friends.
Training Includes:
· Experience types of language which supports Connection and Trust and what undermines it.
· Creating genuine connection by using the 4 steps and 2 frames of Essential Leadership.
· Communicating with non-judgment.
· Connection isnt enough... how to use honesty to support best outcomes and trust.
· Supporting your teams to focus on possibility, and what they want, rather than negativity and silent resistance.
· Learning how to have difficult conversations that matter without avoidance or using position. When to have them and why they matter.
· The Roadmap of Conflict™. What to avoid and how to have wisdom filled and transparent conversations about what really matters for everyone.
· Paying attention to the little cues of resistance and harvest the wisdom within them, whilst building Trust, and detecting problems long before they escalate.
· Listen beyond the "Hard to Hear" things that people say, to instead hear what really matters.
· Develop the skills of Empathic Listening to foster trust and respect in the team.
· Giving difficult feedback whilst supporting engagement and mutuality.
· Appreciation - The vital part it plays in our community, why it matters, and how to use it in a way that builds trust
· The important role of Power in Leadership, what it looks like, how to use it wisely, clarity around the difference between structural power and aligned power and when to use each for best outcomes.

Over the years, we've worked with individuals, businesses, large organisations, CEO's, and medical and health workers teaching them how to become powerful in their expression, their leadership and their work through embodying NVC's practices.
Here are are a couple of our most profound experiences and case studies working with NVC:
Microsoft
We brought NVC into a team working for Microsoft, due to a challenge in the company culture. The teachings were primarly focused towards the managers of the department where we we were able to explore each of their leadership styles, helping to create a more of an empathetic and compassionate approach, and enabling them to understand the needs of the people they work with.
After numerous sessions, we started to see improvements within the team. Some of the results were; halving the number of usually required meetings, helping the product get to market faster — due to the synergy and flow of the team, and most importantly each manager knew how to resolve any conflicts or disputes more quickly and effectively.
Hospital Staff and Clients
One of the best things about NVC's teachings, is that it can be applied to anyone or any company. This is demonstrated when working with a physchatric ward to help with emotional and physical safety for both staff and their patients. Upon working with this client, there had been huge levels of injury to staff — which in turn had affect on everyone's mental health. We started to see improvements just weeks after applying Nonviolent Communication's powerful principles, and by the end of our time together restraint time for patients had been cut by less than half, and staff were much happier, talking and collaborating with their patients instead of against them.

Shari works one-on-one with a limited number of clients, for a 3 month minimum period. On our initial free call, we get very clear on the specific intention we are working toward in this period (it is usually not what you may think).
This might be around communication skill development, health or relationship challenges, or other important areas.
Shari works with both leaders and couples globally, helping them strengthen their relationships using NVC and other amazing modalities and teaching.

This 4 Day (non-residential) Retreat on the Sunshine Coast will deepen your everyday use of these skills in a community of genuine support and non-judgment (on the beautiful Sunshine Coast. We will learn and apply these skills in real life situations, deeply learning powerful NVC skills whilst receiving nurturing and gently releasing patterns that may have held onto for years! This retreat is a stand alone or you can upgrade to the full 6 Month Peer Leadership Program.
